A good, accurate model is paramount to accurate drawings. Fortunately, the Structural discipline provides many useful tools for creating and modifying the 3d model. Since the two dimensional drawings are linked to the 3d model, 2d drawings can be created at any time during the project. This allows for preliminary drawing submittals at any time – 30%, 50%, 75% or 95% completion stages. Many companies have successfully modeled many complex structures with the Structural discipline.
